Arlington Baby Community is a television show and website for new parents. The television program features interviews with financial, legal, and environmental experts offering practical advice for new parents. The bi-weekly television show airs this summer on Arlington Independent Media, Comcast channel 69 and Verizon channel 38.
This website includes local and on-line resources for the new parent who may also be new to the Arlington, VA area. My goal is for it to be a “one-stop shopping” site offering advice, suggesting local activities and reviewing local stores, services and classes. Most items that I recommend are available in the Arlington Baby Community’s Amazon store. The ones not available have a link where you can find the item. The items that I suggest are all items that I have used or have been used and recommended by moms I know. It is important to me that Peanut be as organic as possible for as long as possible. Therefore, I have included sites and stores that sell organic products and toys not made in China.
The Expert’s Corner consists of articles written by legal, financial, health and environmental professionals for further insight on issues discussed on the show. A profile of all of the experts on the show is included as well as their contact information. Please add your comments and reviews to the user review section. About Me

My husband and I moved to Arlington when I was 7 months pregnant. When Peanut was born, I felt alone and isolated at home. We had few friends and no family in the area. When Peanut was 4 months old, I joined a local moms group. I slowly began to feel confident to take my baby out and explore Arlington. I saw how much there was for us to do locally and we got to know the incredible network of mommies in and around Arlington. Peanut and I have been having a blast ever since. I am looking forward to sharing all that we have discovered around town.

I have spent the past 7 years working as an attorney. I now look forward to starting a new chapter of my life with Arlington Baby Community on line and on televison.
 

About Peanut

Fortunately for him, Peanut is just a nick-name for our 16 month old son. He is a happy and energetic boy who wants to play all the time. If you happen to see us out and about exploring Arlington, feel free to say hi. It is, afterall, one of the few words Peanut knows.
